Reimagine Volunteer Engagement

What is a Service Enterprise?

Organizations that excel at leveraging the skills and talents of volunteers in their core operations are known as “Service Enterprises.” These organizations are proven to be more adaptable, sustainable and capable of scaling their impact in comparison to peer organizations.

Research by the TCC Group shows that organizations operating as Service Enterprises are better led, better managed and produce the same impact at almost half the median budget as their peers.

Service Enterprise Initiative in Minnesota

MAVA excited to partner with the Assosciation of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE) and Points of Light to offer Minnesota organizations access to the Service Enterprise Initiative (SEI).

This holistic change management approach helps organizations position volunteers as a strategic resource to build their capacity, increase return on volunteer investment and better achieve their social mission.

Through Service Enterprise, you will gain:

  • A research-based assessment of existing organizational volunteer engagement practices
  • Up to 16 hours of team-based change management training offered in a cohort model with 4 to 8 other organizations
  • Individualized coaching to address unique organizational opportunities and challenges
  • National certification signifying the organization’s commitment to and proficiency in appropriately leveraging the time and skills of volunteers to meet the social mission of the organization.
