Status of Volunteerism in Rural Minnesota Report
Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA)
Published August 2012
In May 2012, MAVA conducted its first study on volunteerism in rural Minnesota. One hundred and three (103) leaders of volunteers and nonprofit managers across the state from rural communities and towns under 30,000 responded to the survey. Six themes emerged in the findings and are described in detail in this report. In addition, the report explores strategies for each of the findings. The report also includes the demographics for the survey respondents.
