We're finishing up a great September of training in Greater Minnesota. Special thanks to the Crow Wing County Volunteer Administrators for hosting a Volunteer Impact Leadership Training Series on September 18 and 19th and the excellent Essentia Health facility. Also, thanks to Mankato CLOVE and the Volunteer Bridge of Sherburne County for hosting Skills Based trainings for your members and community partners.
I also had the opportunity to join the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits at their quarterly meeting in Detroit Lakes this month. What a wonderful learning session and an opportunity to meet many new nonprofits in Northwest Minnesota.
The Initiative Foundation of Little Falls gave me the opportunity to speak at their quarterly Brainerd Lakes Area Lunch and Learn program this month. I always enjoy talking about volunteer engagement and recruitment and learning from others in attendance.
Over the next several months I will be meeting with our networks and nonprofits to talk about some great programs that we are working on in 2018. We are developing District Councils to meet with larger geographic areas. We are working out the details and looking for individuals who will help us shape the future of volunteer engagement in Greater Minnesota. We believe that setting up District Councils around the state will also give MAVA a chance to meet with more organizations, work with them on common training needs, give them the opportunity to share best practices in volunteer engagement and give MAVA the chance to interact with more underserved areas of Minnesota.
As we are setting up training for 2018 we are always looking for organizations that would like to host either our two hour Skills Based Training Workshops or our two day Volunteer Impact Leadership Training Series. If you or your organization are interested in any of our Greater Minnesota opportunities please contact me at email@example.com
and I can let you know all the details.
