Join MAVA for a 3 part series geared towards building resilience, hope, and community.
Better Together Series: Arch of Care and Support
February 12, 19, and 26 from 11:30am - 1:00 pm CST
Dr. Martin Luther King proclaimed that, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." This powerful quote by Martin Luther King Jr. reflects his belief in the eventual triumph of justice and equality over injustice and oppression. King often used this phrase to inspire hope and resilience in the face of adversity during the civil rights movement. In this moment, for Minnesota, for our country, for our democracy, creating community and sharing space reminds us of our humanity and that we are not alone. These unprecedented times call for radical care and revolutionary solidarity.
As a learning organization, MAVA is committed to curating spaces for collective connection, self care, and reflection. This series is an open heart call to all members of our community who are seeking spaces to share, to learn, to be.
Each session of this series is free and open to all.
Session topics:
February 12: Mutual Aid: making space to share resources, ideas, ways to make good trouble and to hear from others on how they are showing up and standing in solidarity.
Hosted by Lisa Joyslin.
