Metro Area Networks

There are many volunteer networks to share and gather information throughout the metro.

Anoka County Volunteer Alliance

Tricia Lehti , (763) 422-7090

Tricia.Lehti@co.anoka.mn.us

ACVA meets monthly on the third Thursday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Meeting locations rotate every three months. Members of ACVA provide the leadership for the short discussions followed by informal networking. Veteran members may choose to present on a current volunteer management topic while those newer to the field may choose to lead a discussion on a recently published article (e.g., Energize). An assigned facilitator leads the short discussion from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 pm followed by informal networking until 2:00 p.m.

 MAVA Connections

Molly Frendo

MAVA Connections is an opportunity only for MAVA members to build relationships with others in the field of volunteer management. These monthly meetings provide members with opportunities for networking, resource sharing and professional development. Meetings revolve around different topics related to volunteerism and are hosted by organizations throughout the Metro.

We are currently seeking hosts and presenters to share their knowledge and space! Becoming a host or presenter is a great opportunity for organizations and individuals to share their expertise, develop professionally and expose the work of their organization. Contact connections@mavanetwork.org to inquire.
