Dementia training for volunteers
Author Last Post
I am the Director of Volunteer Engagement at the Alzheimer's Association.  The Alzheimer's Association provides dementia education for many different populations.  Feel free to email me at rayaz@alz.org for more information.

We are not in a health care setting, but we did have a presentation that we offered to our volunteers by the Winona Friendship Center. The city of winona is currently determined to be a Dementia Friendly Community. At the end, we were certified as Dementia Friends. I have the contact information if you are interested.

I know the site below also has webinars that you could watch and handouts to use.

Hope this helps!

For those of you in a health care setting (ie. SNF, Housing for seniors, etc), do any of you have annual inservices or training, or even forms that you use to train volunteers on dementia?
