Hipaa is actually the law the addresses how medical professionals can share information.  You probably are looking for a data privacy training.

I have a nice one that I train my volunteers on annually.  I am happy to discuss
Sholom Hospice does a very extensive training for HIPPA and vulnerable adult, abuse and emergency procedures. Most hospice volunteer programs have this in place. We follow the lead of the HR dept. for policies, we use the HIPPA form staff sign and I have them sign off on a form stating they have been trained and verify they received this information. We got dinged by the Health Dept. last year. So it's over kill but better safe than sorry. Pat
Do any of you provide HIPAA training for your volunteers?  If so, would you be willing to share your format/information?  Thank you!
