Volunteer Impact Leadership Training Series Weather Cancellation Policy

MAVA recognizes that series participants travel from various distances to the workshop, making what is a manageable winter commute to the series for one participant a difficult one for a participant coming from further away.

If it is apparent the day before the workshop that travel will be difficult for the majority of the participants and/or the trainers, MAVA will reschedule. Participants will be called and e-mailed.

However, in Minnesota, sometimes it’s not possible to know the travel conditions until the day arrives. If, on the morning of the workshop, travel seems difficult for the majority of the participants and/or the trainers, the workshop will be rescheduled and we will call your work number and leave a message. Additionally, any postponements will be listed on the answering machine at the MAVA office, 651-255-0469.

If you are unable to make it to a series workshop due to the weather, you will have the option of taking the series when offered at another time at no extra charge. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please call (651) 255-0469 or e-mail the MAVA office.
